Just checking in

Am alive! Am not any of the following:

  • Dead
  • A penguin
  • Green in coloration
  • A waffle
  • Male
  • Consumed by a giant cow plant

I have no internet access, although that might change. . .tomorrow, but, still. Don’t expect me around much, as I’ve been too absorbed in getting my Sims cow planted to death. Ahem.

Mundane

I’ve been playing Ikariam lately. It’s a browser based MMO that makes for a decent timewaster. Gameplay wise, it is a very, very watered down version of Civilization. I’m on server Kappa, for anyone who’s interested.

Spring break was amazing. I was at Monday’s house, playing her video games and terrorizing her family. Good times! We played two player Baldur’s Gate and I kept killing her accidently because I couldn’t control my fireball spell. Oops.

Also, I have Skype. Username is Laronmi. I go on that marginally more than I go on AIM.

I am weak to books

I bought four more books off Amazon. With those four books coming in, that means I have now 10 books queued up to read.

I need to control myself. Especially since I’ve not as much time to read as I used to.

Going Home

Hahaha, I kind of forgot about the blog again. Whoops.

I’m heading back to Lake Charles tomorrow morning. I should get there somewhere around four-thirty. I’m looking forward to be back; I miss my mommy. I shall miss the snow here, though.

Speaking of which, there’s bad weather expected tomorrow as well. Bah. I hope my flight will go through all right.

Other than that, there’s not much to say! I passed all my classes! I’m lazy and procrastinating on packing! SNOW! Etc. etc.

An update? What madness!

Contrary to what everyone probably thinks, I have not forgotten about this blog! I just suppose I’m more comfortable with my Livejournal, for some odd reason.

Let’s see, I suppose a chronological list of what I’ve been up to since October 12 would be appropriate.

Cool weather~

It’s been so nice these past few days. Right now, it’s a pleasant 55 degrees out, and today’s high was 64. Unfortunately, it’s supposed to climb back up to the low 80s within the next few days. Ah, well. Can’t win them all, I suppose.

The only complaint I have about all this is my body. For those of you who don’t know, my body tends to shut down in cool weather. I get sick, lose my voice, etc. Winter in Louisiana is nothing compared to winter up here, so I’m a bit anxious about how my body will respond to the snow.

Other than that, though, bring on the cold weather! I love it when it gets cool. ♥

Donuts

Free donuts cannot possibly be good for me.

Moving Madness

And the process of moving has begun! Or rather, it has intensified and become all consuming in my life. As such, I shall not have much, if any, time to be spent doing things other than getting ready to move. If anyone needs me for some odd reason, call me. If you don’t have my number, e-mail me. Keep in mind, however, that I don’t check my e-mail as much as I would like to these days due to a lack of time.

Personally, I cannot wait until August. Pittsburgh, here I come! Are you ready for me?

Calendar is up

I have embedded my Google Calendar out of a fit of sheer boredom that led to a fit of organization. If you click the link on the sidebar, you’ll be able to see how I spend my days! Admittedly, it’s quite dull.

Hopefully, this will encourage me to use my calendar more as well as encourage me to do more things so that I can actually put stuff on it.

…I get the feeling it’s going to be quite busy in July.

Painkillers = Bad

Note to self: Don’t take painkillers unless you absolutely have to. You act like a moron when you’re on them.

Thankfully, I only took two before the pain managed to become tolerable. Yay for a semi-high pain tolerance, I suppose. (Although, not high enough if I have to bite myself in order to keep from whimpering from the toe shots. Ugh. That is the most unpleasant feeling I’ve had the misfortune to feel.)

I still can’t wear closed toe shoes and socks, though. At least, not on my right foot. My left foot is fine, the bastard. It can’t even hurt a little bit to make me feel balanced.

On a slightly…less interesting note, I am getting spam on my blog! While this would annoy some people, I feel oddly accomplished as this is a sign that I’m actually showing up on search engines. I hesitate to think what keywords my blog shows up on, but at least it’s showing up, right?

Funny thing about Mardi Gras. I live on Lake Street, right by the mall. Around seven in the evening, loud music began to play and people began screaming. My first thought? “Oh, my God. Why are there drunk people screaming outside my window? Is there a mob? Are they throwing chairs and kidnapping babies yet?”

Being the genius that I am, I completely forgot it was Mardi Gras, despite the fact that Morgan had called me earlier and reminded me of it. Good job, memory. You fail yet again.

And I’m all out of white grape blueberry kiwi juice. Darn. At least I have new information pertaining to Fire Emblem: Goddess of the Dawn to hang on to. Mmm, release day spoilers. Only about half a year until it’s released in English!
