Friday Night Improvs

I went to Friday Night Improv on Friday. It’s Pittsburgh’s only (If not the world’s only) audience only improv show. Think Who’s Line is it Anyway except the audience are the actors. For the most part, it’s the regulars (aka the theater majors) who volunteer themselves, but I volunteered myself for a portion of the show. If you watch Who’s Line, then you probably know about the game where you have to make up a song off the top of your head based on an audience suggestion. That’s what I did, and the title of my song was “Here’s Your Fucking Scrambled Eggs.”

It was supposed to be a punk song.

I have no clue as to what that’s supposed to sound like.

So, to make up for my lack of knowledge, I screamed and swore a lot. It seemed to work because people were laughing, so I guess I succeeded somewhat. It was fun being up there, even though I was a bit nervous. I’d go again, except no one seems to want to go with me since it starts at eleven at night and costs three dollars. I’d go by myself, but I don’t feel safe walking around at two in the morning.

If any of you guys are ever in Pittsburgh on a Friday night, tell me and I’ll drag you there. It’s fun~~

Also, that night was the first night they took pictures for their website in a year. I’m now on their website somewhere. Like hell I’m going to link to it, but sad to say, it isn’t that hard to find.
